Experience of the cross country meeting
This Tuesday, I had my first home cross country meeting. I was very excited because some of my friends and teachers would come to the meeting and support us, especially my favorite girl in our grade.
Before the varsity boy’ s cross country meeting, I changed my uniform and went to the court to support the middle school team and the varsity girl’ s team. Everyone did a really good job and they all made a big progress. So I thought I could also make a big progress.
When I was preparing for running, Mr. Foulk came and told me that I need to try my best and have a safe running. I agreed with his words, and I also talked with him about the meeting I had last time.
At 5:45, our game started. At the beginning of the race, I ran very fast, I placed about top 20, but after 0.5 miles, there was a small hill, I felt really tired and hardly to breath. Most of the runners ran pass me. I wanted to push myself, but I didn’t know why I felt my heart was hurt and I could not run fast. After 33 minutes, I arrived. I was the last three people who arrived, and I was the last one in my team. I was so sad and disappointed about this.
Although I failed on this race, I still convince myself that I will try my best to get a good place on the next race at SAS next week. Go feet!
